Discussion panel at the Economic Forum in Karpacz

Prof. Kamil Jonak, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology at the Lublin University of Technology, took part in a panel discussion on artificial intelligence during the 33rd Economic Forum in Karpacz. The panel, entitled “Artificial Intelligence: a threat or an opportunity for the healthcare sector?”, was attended by representatives of universities, medical and pharmaceutical companies, and the president of the Zielona Góra Doctors’ Association, Mr Tomasz Zieliński.
The panel discussed the state of AI research in medicine and its impact on doctors and patients, taking into account the benefits and risks. The discussion covered the potential applications of AI and the ethical and legal issues associated with it.
